We care about the people of Cleveland and are committed to giving back, meeting needs, and making our community a better place.
How we give back
As a local business, it is important to support the community that has supported us throughout the years. That's why we created the charitable arm of Rockport, Gift of Giving. It’s a program geared toward giving back in various ways throughout the Cleveland community.
Concrete Kits for Kids
The trades are often overlooked as an opportunity to educate children. Concrete Kits for Kids is a program that introduces concrete to kids in our community by allowing them to use their own kid to mix and make concrete floating boats. We’ve sponsored visits to schools in our area, such as Louisa May Alcott School, and even drive a concrete mixer truck to provide the world’s largest show and tell. It’s the highlight of our day to see their eyes light up when honking the truck and going home with a toy truck too.
Coats for Kids
A heartwarming event; Partnering with Coats for Kids and distributing Coats to over 2500 kids since 2020 at these schools:

- Artemis Ward School
- Garfield Elementary School
Independence Home Days
It’s always inspiring to serve our community, and this event enables us to let kids who attend touch, climb into, and honk one of our concrete mixing trucks.
2024
Rockport Ready Mix truly added a special touch to Independence Home Days event this year. Just imagine the delight on the kids’ faces as they moved from honking the horn of a big concrete mixer truck to pressing their hands into the sand making their unique imprint into a lasting concrete cast.
This activity was not just about having fun, it was about creating meaningful keepsakes that capture a precious moment in time. Each handprint cast becomes a symbol of their participation in this unique experience and the joy they felt.
